Then with a bit of time and patience we will be fine, I guess you realised that I’d have a use some time, and it looks likely to be in this field, or close by, as I’m quite skilled you know? You probably did not realise I can write in HTML but I taught myself, I have a good understanding now, more to begin with, I’m not going too fast, that’s when I’m ready to embrace a new concept. Well I have been active on the web this weekend and it looks like I’ll put this time to good use, it is not generally the case with IT, where not much training takes place so far, I’m trying to find out all I can about the web, and I hope to ‘train up’, obviously I’ve not seen that much of it, but from what I’ve seen it’s exciting. Bits and bobs may show up of these early experiments, and in time I will require more from the public, however from today I will be looking to pass the tests and gain insight, overall keep improving, as I have a restless attitude to the modern condition. I’m creating a blog everyday at the moment, and I’m enrolled on four courses! So it’s been an intensely productive summer, where we’ve all had our little moments, post 40th tension is to blame, it seems that we have a stranger on board, someone, with great intelligence but from another time & place, perhaps. Not too bad a start on the media assignment, together I think that we can accomplish a great deal, and I’m looking forward to seeing if we can collaborate in some way, using this advanced medium on a voyage of self discovery, hoping to find a site, a web host, the future is a blessing in disguise.
I started a course on printmaking at Wiltshire college this week, my focus is very much on doing my thing, and socialising, to an extent I like to push boundaries, it can be intimidating, when you see so many successful people, I’m not like that, I really want to explore the values of researching the net, and getting the main things across will take time, I’ve got a few ideas of my own and a lot of paper. Okay so after just ten weeks the course will be through and from then we will be able to see if this is a good scene for me to be in, we all tend to assume a lot of peer pressure, I don’t have anything great to showcase as yet, but am looking to build an online portfolio, I am interested in using the web to spread the word about ecology and the cognitive sciences, as well as tap in the artist studio, from time to time. I love films and music so the course is quite apt, I really hope the business survives, and that the bad (fake) news about locked down Manchester does not get the better of common sense, our search for freedom and creative self-expression. I have worked on a number of images, using acrylic and oil based paint, but not mixed media how I might think about art, ars non est modus operandi.
Okay this is well on the way, I really have to roll out some web documents soon, as I am getting a lot of paintings at the atelier and no one has seen them, they must wonder if I’m painting, a fresco or something, but it’s all to do with the portfolio and student beatnik aspirations.
