Another fine mess…

The new print I ordered from K & M arrived today. Debbie Harry, booked granules I’m going to get it framed in the near future I think. Okay so I’ve got a lot of work on my hands right notes handy andy wright there, some furniture to fix up as you know, some old stuff needs a specialist to look at it and manufacture, we’ll need a working drawing for the side table. I haven’t been online for a while now and it was getting so bad I decided to come back to the Observatory to have a look around to see if I can’t familiarize myself with the new surroundings so to speak. I have to check up on gmail, as I send a lot of emails. The threads are working out fairly well, I checked out a good blog on the rwa.org.uk page, royal academy based in Bristol. All seems well, but we missed the talk on Wilhelmina Barns Graham, unfortunately. You only live thrice.

Internet is working well so far, I’m off the painting course for now, some mess on the print block to clear up also. Work bench could be better the amount of objects make it a bit confusing. Sometimes other people mess with the workspace, in the print room which is odd because 99% of the time I’m not in there. So only the times that I’m there are the ones that actually count, so far as making art is concerned. I’m going to have a look at Trowbridge in more detail this week, I barely knew much about the college to begin with, having got on it I can say it seems like a really fantastic facility and quite friendly, but hard to get used to, a little off the beaten track so far as commuting by bike.

We are covered here for now on the skills, that we require but I really wanted to get these on the slate quite soon, if not sooner, as a lot of water has passed under the bridge since uni. I did get a decent degree, but practical skills I find invaluable, as well as the ability to use information technology to communicate and search for jobs, do research and more.

The brand new vinyl storage unit is in! Built by my own hands, most definitely a big achievement for a young man, handy. I found it quite straightforward, not much free space so far, we’ll have to wait and see, good design quite clunky, we didn’t use the instruction booklet, and I felt uncomfortable because of the obvious comic potential of the situation, if it went wrong. I was lucky this time. Musical sounds are all in scale forms, are extremely well made often and can be heard by some such as Mozart but the equipment that holds the records, is an acoustical nightmare. From Tonight, in the words of Stardust ‘the music sounds better with you’.
