There had been a few ends to tie up back in the day, really the writing began quite some time ago and I had other projects back then but they soon tied up allowing us to break cover for a short time hopefully long enough for the escape to be made to a safe and disease free province. The common room for instance anywhere not riddled with the mind rotting outbreak. So it seems from what I can gather on the news and dab radio is that many previously good and salubrious haunts of the parish have suddenly been made unavailable by the mysterious appearance of what could only be a deadly airbourne virus or even a biological agent of some kind. But rather an odd one that just really wants to get to know you like a long lost relative you’ve not seen for years but still remembers all about your life.
So I say fair play I don’t think it’s a good sign, here in the west country we really like to go out it seems in retrospect that this was what led to the present crisis, as the infection rate continues to soar you have to wonder if the melting pot that is the city centre is really something else. Until now the council had given the green light to anything all part of the plan to raise social wellness via increasing revenue from lucrative overseas investors, who kind of had a ‘blank canvas’ upon which to express their inner self. This is because other ideas to raise funds for much needed repair work are unreliable at best. You’ve probably read in the paper about the true cost to repair the Houses of Parliament, estimate at £3,000,000,000 and that was a conservative estimate. It’s such a shame but is a factor, in this. Imagine just breaking down the costs into more manageable sizes, and how many politicians really want to seize the nettle and bite the bullet to realise their political ambitions. Carpe Diem as they say.
Though many much loved institutions have gone down in the fight for free education and the dream of a free population much more dated stuff had to make do with our predicament, one which is quite unfortunate, the point when the virus went viral sent tidal waves round the World, reaching these shores only days after the first reported case, whether the remaining infrastructure is tough enough is a talking point. Where we once went out all the time, we’ve now been asked to remain inside, so it seems that it somehow got into the very bedrock of the urban faculties and nodes, like it had been dormant all this time, exactly like the martians in ‘The War of The Worlds’ by H G Wells. Sleeper cells waiting for the signal to attack, us to be brief a chance encounter that led to reports of a genuine chaos to the streets of the U.K.
